A 200-bed multi-specialty hospital had failed its fire NOC renewal inspection — the existing conventional fire alarm system had multiple faulty detectors and the control panel was displaying persistent faults that the previous contractor had not resolved. Additionally, the pharmacy, ICU, NICU, blood bank and server room had no electronic access control — entry was managed by posted security personnel with no audit trail. Hospital management required a complete fire safety remediation and access control installation within 60 days to meet regulatory and insurance requirements.
Integrated Fire Alarm, Access Control & CCTV for a 200-Bed Hospital
Pujaso submitted a detailed fire system audit report within 5 days of the initial survey, identifying 34 faulty detectors, 2 loop faults and a panel that could not support the addressable upgrade required by the BIS standard for the building category. A complete replacement was recommended.
A Telefire addressable fire alarm system was designed and installed: 220 smoke and heat detectors across all patient wards, theatres, ICU, corridors, kitchens and basement — each with a unique address for pinpoint fault and alarm identification. Manual call points at all stairwell landings and emergency exits. High-decibel sounders and visual strobes throughout. The system was integrated with the hospital's BMS to trigger HVAC shutdown and elevator recall on alarm.
ZKTeco face recognition readers were installed at 12 restricted zone doors: pharmacy (3 doors), ICU/NICU (4 doors), blood bank (2 doors), server room (1 door), admin finance (2 doors). Access levels were configured by job role — doctors, nurses, pharmacy staff and admin each have appropriate zone access.
Pujaso prepared and submitted all fire NOC documentation, accompanied the DFS inspection and achieved NOC within 45 days of installation completion.
