A large CBSE senior secondary school with 3,000 students, a primary block, secondary block, sports complex and 6 entry gates had inadequate CCTV — only 12 cameras, mostly non-functional, with no coverage of classrooms, stairwells or the school boundary. Three separate incidents over 2 years — an unauthorised person found on school grounds, a student leaving with an unverified adult and a theft from the staffroom — had prompted the school management committee to mandate a complete security upgrade. A budget was allocated and tenders issued; Pujaso won on the basis of a phased delivery proposal and AutoSense™ integration.
Campus-Wide CCTV & Visitor Management for a 3,000-Student School
86 Hikvision cameras were installed across the campus: entry gates and reception (12), primary block corridors and classrooms (18), secondary block corridors (16), sports complex and outdoor areas (20), boundary wall (12), staffrooms and administration (8). All cameras connected to a central 128-channel NVR room in the administrative block.
AutoSense™ was configured with a dedicated school security dashboard accessible by the principal and security coordinator. Loitering detection was activated for boundary zones. A dedicated monitor was placed in the principal's office showing gate cameras and a health status overview.
Visitor management was deployed at the main reception: all visitors scan a government ID, a photograph is captured, the host teacher receives a WhatsApp notification with the visitor's photo before they are admitted. For student collection during dismissal, authorised guardian photos are enrolled at the start of the year — the guard can verify the face matches the enrolled photo before releasing a student.
