A 120-room business hotel in Delhi had experienced two significant incidents within 6 months: a room break-in traced to an unlogged master key, and a false fire alarm evacuation at 3 AM that disrupted 80 guests and led to 14 cancellations and 3 negative reviews. The hotel's insurance provider had sent a formal notice requiring documented fire safety upgrades within 90 days or face policy non-renewal at the same premium. Hotel management required a complete security overhaul addressing fire safety, CCTV gaps and the key control vulnerability — all within the insurance deadline.
Complete Security Overhaul — CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access Control & Key Management
Pujaso designed a 4-week deployment plan covering all three security domains simultaneously with separate engineering teams working in parallel.
Fire alarm: The existing conventional system was replaced with a Telefire addressable panel. 95 smoke and heat detectors installed across all 5 floors, corridors, kitchen and basement. Addressable system eliminates the zone-level ambiguity that had caused the false alarm (the previous system had a dirty detector in Zone 3 that triggered a full evacuation — the new system pinpoints individual devices, allowing investigation before general evacuation).
CCTV: 72 Hikvision cameras installed — all floor corridors (50), lobby (6), car park (8), service entrances (4), manager's office (4). 45-day retention. Mobile access configured for GM and security manager.
Key management: Godrej electronic key cabinet installed at the front desk — all 12 master keys and 8 management keys tracked electronically. Every key removal requires staff PIN, is logged with timestamp and triggers an overdue alert if not returned within the configured window.
